April 2019 Meeting - Local Government - It All Starts Here!

The Role that County Government Plays in Shaping Your Quality of Life

Candace Andersen, District 2 County Supervisor, Contra Costa County

Ever wonder what the County does for you? Come find out from our own County Supervisor, who was first elected in 2012, re-elected unopposed in 2016 and will run again in 2020!

Many of us remember Candace as Danville Councilwoman and Mayor between 2003 and 2012. With a B.A. in Public Policy and Juris Doctorate from BYU, she began her legal career as a Prosecuting Attorney. She put her legal career on hold to serve the community and raise her family. She remains an active volunteer in her church and community.

She and her husband, attorney Philip M. Andersen, have been married for 35 years and are the parents of six children and now six grandchildren.

Come find out how the County administration impacts our lives and how we can have a voice in it!
