September 12 - Immigration Reform - Trump's Successes & Opportunities - FAIR, Federation for American Immigration Reform, Field Representative, Joyce Muccio

Learn about immigration issues facing our nation, including asylum, H1-B Visas, EB-5 Reform, Border Security, Fiscal Burden of Illegal Immigration on California Taxpayers and where we are today versus 2016.  FAIR seeks to reduce overall immigration to a more normal level. Reducing legal immigration levels from well over one million presently to 300,000 a year over a sustained period will allow America to manage growth, address environmental concerns, and maintain a high quality of life. FAIR puts the interests of American citizens and future generations ahead of big business and partisan demands.

October 10 - Liberty, Socialism, and the Fight for the Future of California - Pacific Legal Foundation, US Constitutional Attorney, Timothy Snowball

While our tripartite national system remains largely intact, progressives have spent the last 100 years working to undermine the ideals for which we stand. Nowhere has this cultural and constitutional coup d'état been felt more acutely than California. Every day it seems that more and more of our most precious liberties are being stripped away. The question inevitably rises: What can we do about it?

Constitutional lawyer with the Pacific Legal Foundation, America’s oldest and most effective conservative public interest law firm, Timothy R. Snowball will deliver his take on where we have been, where we are, and where we should strive to be in the future fight to restore the rule of law.

40 Years & Growing Stronger - "Heralding the Past...Envisioning the Future"

2019 Fall 40th Biennial Convention October 18-20 Bakersfield Marriott at the Convention Center

Three times a year, the California State Federation (CFRW)  prepares workshops, conferences and board meetings to continue our goal of educating our membership.   Every two years, at the close of the two-year term of CFRW's Executive Committee, the third conference becomes, instead, the Biennial Convention.  All of our conferences and conventions are days of fellowship and inspiration as members and guests from throughout the Golden State come together to conduct the business of the Federation and learn new and exciting ways to accomplish our goals and objectives.  Beginning in 2020 each conference and convention shall be planned and executed by the statewide elected 1st Vice President as program chair.

All are always invited and encouraged to attend Board Meetings, conferences, and conventions. For all members, these activities add not only to their knowledge of how the Federation works but allows them to meet individuals throughout the state who are able to work with all of us at our Club level.

It was founded in June, 2010, just a few months after the tragic loss of April and Joseph Rovero’s youngest son, Joseph (Joey) John Rovero, III, from a lethal combination of alcohol and prescription medication that had been prescribed by a doctor just nine days before.

Mike Conklin, Sentinels of Freedom, San Ramon

    Mike_Conklin.jpg

Mike Conklin is the Chairman and CEO of Sentinels of Freedom (SOF). He was a successful builder and real estate developer in San Ramon, California, before founding the non-profit organization in 2007. He is the proud father of three Army Rangers and was inspired to establish SOF after one of his sons was wounded in Iraq. Impressed by the level of care his son received in military hospitals, and deeply concerned over the tremendous physical and emotional hurdles they faced upon re-entering society, Mike began the work that would evolve into SOF. The program assists severely wounded post-9/11 veterans as they complete their higher education and successfully transition to civilian life. The support they receive is uniquely tailored to the individual and includes: housing and living subsidies, financial coaching, mentoring, and employment assistance. Mike’s vision has been honored by military and community leaders ranging from California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to Secretary of Defense Robert Gates. He was awarded the Department of the Army’s Outstanding Civilian Service Medal, and he became one of CNN’s “CNN Heroes” for everyday people changing the world.

All are welcomed - no need to be a member. Bring your family and friends!
